Catherine Arseneau


Catherine Arseneau

Nova Scotia Workplace Education

Catherine Arseneau joined the Apprenticeship Training and Skill Development Division of the Nova Scotia Department of Education in January 2005 as Manager, Skill Development. In this role Ms. Arseneau manages the province's Workplace Education Program through which government partners with business and labour to address the essential skill requirements of todays labour force.

Prior to working with government Ms. Arseneau held various positions in the not for profit sector including Executive Director with the provincial Health Care Sector Council.

The Workplace Education Program has been a partnership of government, business and labour since 1989 in Nova Scotia. Its evolution during these 16 years has seen it evolve to address the needs of large employers and small business, unions and sectors. Its focus has been to advance the essential skills of Nova Scotians in order to assist the workforce meet the challenges of the workplace and to create a lifelong learning culture in Nova Scotia.
