Dwight Botting

Dwight Botting was appointed Acting Deputy Minister of the Department of Advanced Education and Training on July 5, 2004. Prior to this appointment he had been Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for Training and Continuing Education, including Employment Training, Adult Learning and Literacy, Apprenticeship, sectoral Industry Training Partnerships, The Hydro Northern Training Initiative and the Technical Vocational Initiative.
Before joining the Government of Manitoba, Dwight was the Principal of the Technical Vocational High School in the Winnipeg School Division. Prior to that Dwight had been active in the River East School Division as a Principal of a comprehensive high school. He was also involved in social studies curriculum development at the provincial and Pan Canadian level.
Dwight has his Masters of Education in Curriculum from the University of Manitoba, a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Winnipeg and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg.
