We request that you contact our conference coordinator, Heather Gibson by phone at (902) 483-6334, or by email at Forum2005@khgmanagement.ca to arrange your travel and accommodation requirements. This will ensure that charges are applied to our master account.

    • Register for the conference by October 7, 2005. Program and registration information will be available on the Forum website at: http://www.flmm-lmi.org , commencing August 15, 2005.

    • By September 9, 2005, provide a brief biographical note and 2-3 sentence abstract of your topic to assist the moderator in introducing you to the conference participants, and to be included on the Forum website and in participants’ Forum kit.

    • By September 23, 2005, provide an electronic version, if applicable, of any audio-visual materials, or written text you may be using during your presentation.

  • Please forward all presentation documentation by email to the FLMM LMI Secretariat, to the attention of Franca Piccin at franca.piccin@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca or Frank Cholette at choletfa@gov.ns.ca .

Day of conference:

Arrival: you should arrive at the room where your session will occur 5-10 minutes before the start to familiarize yourself with seating, and audio-visual equipment arrangements, if applicable. A moderator will be present to help you and ensure that workshop proceedings run smoothly.

During Session: Each panelist’s presentation/remarks should aim to be no longer than 10 minutes. Each panel session will have approximately 4 panelists. Remarks should be thought-provoking and provide a unique perspective, focusing on salient issues for discussions by the plenary Question Period to follow panelists’ presentations.

Question Period: An audience question period will take place after all presentations are concluded. The question period will be facilitated by a moderator.

Final Comments: About 5 minutes before the end of the session the moderator will stop taking questions and request panelists to make any brief final observations.

Closing the Session: The moderator will then conclude the session and inform participants of the next agenda item and its location as indicated in the conference kit.

NOTE: if you are not fully bilingual, we suggest that you pick up a headset at the Simultaneous Interpretation Desk.
