Debbie Bryson

In addition to being the Federal Co-chair of the Forum of Labour Market Ministers' Labour Market Information (LMI) Working Group, Debbi Bryson is Director, Skills and Labour Market Information Division, Workplace Skills Branch, Human Resources and Social Development Canada. Her current responsibilities include LMI policy and research development, the National Occupational Classification, and the Essential Skills Research Project. She joined HRDC in Ottawa in 1985 after four years with a private economic forecasting firm. Since 1985,
she has held several positions related to multiple aspects of LMI, spanning sectoral and occupational analysis and partnership development; national, regional and local LMI, products and tools; and management, including Chief, Consultation and LMI Products-responsible for the production of the national Job Futures and a suite of LMI products designed for youth; Chief, Labour Market Policy; and, Director, HRSDC's LMI Task Force. Debbi has a B.A. (Economics) from Queen's University, and an M.A. (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario.
